Five years ago, when I was searching for a new direct sales company after my previous one closed, I wasn’t just looking for another catalog of jewelry. When I was three years old, my Grandma taught me how to read. Before long, I was reading chapter books, and almost every night I’d read to her until she fell asleep. Those books became some of my most treasured possessions because every time I opened one, the familiar smell instantly brought me back to those moments together.

One day, while flipping through her Bible, I noticed her signature on the inside cover.

I remember setting it aside and thinking, Someday I might get this tattooed.

Life had other plans.
